Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, Lizzie Keene moved to the Charleston area in August of 2017 to teach choral music at Wando High School. Prior to teaching choral music, Lizzie taught private voice lessons, and spent a short time working as a music therapist in a psychiatric hospital. She received her Master of Music from Louisiana State University, and her Bachelor of Music Therapy from Loyola University New Orleans. While living in Louisiana, Lizzie sang with the New Orleans Vocal Arts Chorale, Baton Rouge’s Red Shift, and the Saint Louis Cathedral Choir in the New Orleans French Quarter. She is a new member of the Kings Counterpoint, and very excited to be a part of the music community in lovely Charleston, South Carolina.
